Ben provides communications and design support to Pratt Center’s community planning and economic development projects, and assists in development of Pratt Center’s fundraising initiatives.
As part of his responsibilities at Pratt Center, Ben has managed and executed graphic production of Pratt Center reports including Under the Hood (2017), Prototyping Equity (2016) and What Makes the City Run (2016), as well as other external communications. He created branding and promotional materials to support the Neighborhood Data Portal, Equitable Innovation Economies, and EnergyFit NYC initiatives. Ben also oversees marketing and communications efforts for Made in NYC, Pratt Center’s local manufacturing initiative.
Prior to joining the Pratt Center team, Ben worked with Long Island City Partnership on the design of the first Long Island City Comprehensive Plan. He also served as a Community Planning fellow in Brooklyn Community Board 9, where he provided assistance in land use and zoning. Ben has an M.S in City and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute’s Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment.
