Meet the Current Fellows

Shelby Fredrickson
Energy Planning and Policy

Shelby Fredrickson is a current M.S candidate in Sustainable Environment Systems at Pratt Institute. Previously Shelby worked as an artist and an outdoor leadership specialist. She is passionate about public lands, National Parks, environmental justice, and sustainable design.

Aeli Gonzalez Gladstein
Policy and Advocacy

Aeli is pursuing a M.S. in City and Regional Planning, with a focus on resilience and adaptation to climate change. He previously graduated from Pratt's GCPE with an M.S. in Sustainable Environmental System, with a concentration in water systems. Aeli also currently serves as the Graduate Student Trustee on Pratt Institute's Board of Trustees. Previously, Aeli has worked at the Municipal Art Society of New York, Office of New York City Councilmember Brad Lander, Lower East Side Ecology Center, and the Center for Court Innovation.

Michelle Kung
Media/ Communications Fellow

Michelle is a UX designer who is currently pursuing an M.S. in IxD at Pratt's School of Information. She became interested in urban placemaking and spatial politics during her undergraduate studies on urban history. As Pratt Center's Media and Communications Fellow, Michelle draws on her past experience working in advertising and digital agencies. 

Gopinath Gnanakumar Malathi
GIS Fellow

Gopi is a first year City and Regional Planning student at Pratt. His interests include public life data mapping and crowd-sourcing methodologies for urban designs through participatory tools. Previously, he worked as an urban design consultant to city governments in India, engaging on streetscape, waterfronts and resiliency infrastructure projects.

Marta Miklaszewicz
Development Fellow

Marta Miklaszewicz is a graduate student of Information Experience Design at Pratt Institute and a recipient of the Fulbright Graduate Student Award. Prior to joining Pratt Center, Marta worked at various international organizations including NATO, European Parliament and European Union Agencies based in Finland and in Poland.

Taylor Novick-Finder
Made in NYC Fellow

Taylor is in his second year of the M.S. Sustainable Environmental Systems program at Pratt Institute.  In addition to working with Made in NYC this summer, Taylor has also worked with the New York League of Conservation Voters on a study advocating for the abatement of lead in New York State public schools' drinking water. As a Fellow with Made in NYC, he draws on his experiences helping run his brother's former restaurant in Park Slope, along with his longtime passion for small business development and sustainable manufacturing.

Kusbandono Sugiarto
Made in NYC Fellow

Kusbandono (Don) is currently a master's candidate in the Design Management program at Pratt Institute. With extensive background in design and entrepreneurship, he is interested in building better businesses powered by design frameworks. As a Made in NYC fellow, he's looking forward to assisting small businesses in New York City in their development.

Jacqueline Ting
Planning & Policy Generalist

Jacqueline is an M.S. candidate in city and regional planning who focuses on economic revitalization and community development. She is interested in finding strategies to achieve a closer integration between climate adaptation and development. Prior to joining Pratt Center, Jacqueline was a summer intern at the NYC Department of City Planning and a fellow at the NYC Environmental Justice Alliance.

Kaila Wilson
Planning & Policy Generalist

Kaila is in her second year of the M.S. City and Regional Planning program at Pratt Institute. Her passions lie in social and environmental justice and she is particularly interested in equitable and resilient strategies for climate action. Previously, she worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture focusing on workforce development programs for SNAP participants. She also previously served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Zambia.
