Pratt Center kicked off the seventh year of the Taconic Fellowship program on Wednesday, February 6 with a reception hosted by Pratt Institute President Frances Bronet at her official residence. Students, faculty, staff and community partners enjoyed refreshments and drinks while perusing a poster exhibition showcasing the variety of work achieved by current and former Fellows.
Launched in 2012, the Taconic program leverages Pratt Institute’s extraordinary expertise across a wide range of disciplines to help community groups further their missions while giving students the experience of working to solve real, immediate problems in collaboration with local partners. In the span of six years, the program has awarded over $360,000 in funding to support nearly 40 projects.
