Joanna is the Manager of Program and Partnership Development for the Made in NYC (MINYC) initiative at Pratt Center, where she focuses on supporting New York City manufacturers by expanding services and programming that enhances NYC manufacturers marketing and branding capacity.
Prior to joining the Pratt Center, Joanna worked as Field Marketing Specialist at Zipcar focusing on strategic local partnerships and new member acquisition for half of the Tri State Region. She started her career at the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership working on local public art and neighborhood revitalization initiatives. It was at Myrtle Avenue where she was connected with AFROPUNK and went on to organize and manage the artists & makers market for the Brooklyn based AFROPUNK Festival for 8 years. She also worked at the Low Income Investment Fund on their Healthy Food and Healthy Communities initiative which funded healthy food development in New York State. Joanna has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School for Public Service and a B.A. in Sustainable Urban Development & Studio Arts from the University of Rochester.
