In 2016-17, a team from Pratt's Graduate Center for Planning and the Environment focused on the development of a skate park that doubles as a storm water management system, and creates an active space for youth in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
This 2016-17 project by Industrial Design student Megan Lighty worked with the Park Slope Food Coop, CHiPS food pantry, and a local community garden to design a collection bin for compost. The goal was to establish a self-sustaining program that encourages the reduction of food waste through community design.
