The North Brooklyn IBZ remains one of the densest industrial areas of the city. While the Department of City Planning’s recent study of the area proposes to increase protections for industrial businesses against non-industrial uses in much of the Zone, it encourages more office development in two areas. This will put many very significant industrial businesses at greater risk of displacement.
